Here we go again...
Another opportunity to fulfill my dreams of hitting all 6 major marathons. I want to start off by saying thank you for visiting this page. If you don’t know me, I have been running since high school and it was actually by accident (I really did not want to be a part of the marching band...) Fast forward to today, I am on my journey of conquering my 3rd major and although the lottery has failed me numerous of times, I have decided that I will not let that stop me this time.
Running has been a way for me to destress, a source of finding inspiration, and it has become a part of my daily life. But ultimately, I love it for the camaraderie! In life, I always wanted to inspire others and with running I was able to do so and continue to find ways to be inspired. I love bringing my friends together on a morning run and seeing their faces with a feeling of accomplishment!
I am honored to run the Chicago Marathon with a group of my friends on behalf of Endure to Cure Pediatric Cancer Foundation (E2C). This organization speaks volume to me as I work closely with pediatric patients affected by cancer everyday. I love that I can merge my two passions together and join this cause.
E2C's programs include the Small Miracles Program provides children in cancer treatment and their families with uplifting gifts and experiences to help boost their spirits. Its Travel for Treatment Assistance Program helps families cover the immediate and uninsurable out-of-pocket expenses related to getting to and from their child’s cancer treatments. These expenses include things such as transportation, meals, and lodging.
Thank you for all your support in allowing this dream of mine to stay alive. A little goes a long way. I am so grateful for each and every one of you and know that I will not be able to do this if it wasn’t for you.
